Hello Everyone,

I have a rather bizzare issue with my Samsung S25 Ultra. The rear wide camera stops recording and freezes to an unfocused state. The only way out is to kill the app and restart it. The research wing of engineers from Samsung have vaguely concluded it could be a hardware issue from the system logs.

I have gone through all the process for restoring it and have been left with only physical diagnostics at the centre. Visited the service centre to find out they need 2-5 days to just check out what is wrong with the phone. Now I've been put on waiting list to get a loaner phone.

I have seen a couple of issues on the forum (EU and US community). I hope this is no widespread issue regarding quality control and limited to few unlucky ones. In my 9 years of loyalty to Samsung this is the first time I'm facing major issue.

Anyone facing a similar issue? Or have a solution already?

Do you know how hot it gets? Try feeling the back of the camera when you are recording
