Samsung Galaxy S24 / S24 Plus - you have been fooled!!!

Hi Guys,

i'm sorry to tell you that if you bought the S24 or S24 plus phone, you have been fooled.

Samsung didn't  name the Australian version of the S24 or s24 Plus something else when it should, for example S24e, e would stand for EXYNOS 2400, that's the CPU Samsung decided to use here in Australia. That's what is inside your phone, if you bought it.

But if you are just a guy, a normal guy who wants a Samsung Galaxy S24, and went to the shop thinking you were getting a fantastic phone, then in your mind you did!

Not really!, Inside you have the Exynos 2400 CPU, something that you dont know, or dont care.

In America on the other hand they used the Snapdragon G8 Gen 3 as the CPU which is faster, runs better, performs better, better battery life, no problems with mobile network signal, and the list goes on.

The Exynos 2400 on the other hand runs hot, battery life is worst than the one used in America, the signal is terrible, I am getting 2 bars. When i switch the SIM card to the iphone I am getting full bars, same location.

I am one of the ones that 'by mistake' i was fooled and i got the S24 Plus from JBHIFI on 27th of May 2024.

I wanted a flagship phone, I looked at the JBHIFI website and listed all those beautiful S24 Ultra phones. I read all the specs, including the CPU (The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3) which is the latest and fastest of all. I wanted that!!!!! Then I thought wow this phone is amazing and I want it but a bit too big and too heavy, so then I thought I will get the s24 Plus instead as it is a little bit smaller and lighter, so I bought it.

I got home, i downloaded the 'Device Info' app from the Google app store just to find out that the phone I 've got had the inferior CPU Exynos 2400, which runs hot, has bad signal, and performs slower than the "real" S24 Plus.

Seriously Samsung!, what are you doing? why are you doing it? to cut costs? at our expense. I have saved a lot of money to buy a great phone and I feel I have been fooled because i didnt get what I was expecting from you Samsung.

You dont care about the user experience. You are releasing 2 different phones with the same name. That's not acceptable, as I have paid the full amount for the inferior one. It feels like someone is stealing from us, or scamming. I tis not a good feeling.

I want my money back, i want a refund because your advertisement is super confusing and if people are not careful they will end up like me easily.

Well done Samsung for confusing the hell out of us, and give us a under performing CPU on the same phone, that's like stealing.

That's not the point!. Even though I made a mistake assuming the S24 + would have the Snapdragon, the point is that they are advertising something that is not. It is called false advertisement.

"The new Galaxy S24+ has an epic display for an immersive experience and incredible visibility"
that's a lie, if you are outside in the sun the phone gets hot and the screen is dimming to almost not visibility.

"Optimise your performance with an advanced cooling system"
that's a lie, the phone gets really hot when playing games, touching the screen almost hurts

Battery life is not good, and you only get barely 2 bars of mobile network signal.

I am claiming my money back, because the phone is faulty.

one is a search of Google the other one is a random Australian tech shop and in all of this is clearly said exynos in specs and descriptions

all I will suggest to everyone is to read before do any purchase and double check all the infos

Unfortunately many customers will go and purchase a galaxy s24 without not knowing whats inside. They are getting a lemon.

The Exynos 2400 is obviously a product in testing phase.

many customers if read descriptions and inform themselves, will know. If you buy an s24 no one can expect to be same as good as s24 ultra

I have no issues returning items to JB HI-FI. Since you just recently bought it last 27/05, just tell them the reason for return.

Unfortunately, only S24U is using Snapdragon in Australia. S24 and S24+ are both Exynos. There are only few countries that have Snapdragon on all models.

If you want Snapdragon but don't like big phones, you can try S23, Flip or Fold series. All of them are Snapdragon here in Australia.

My S23 which I've had for a year is brilliant. No heating problems and runs smoothly. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 hasn't given me any problems whatsoever.

I wanted that!!!!!" this isn't assuming , but anyway you wrongly bought the s24 plus instead of s24 ultra that's where the issue is . Red specs of s24 ultra and bought s24 plus .
