Galaxy S
Today, another green vertical line suddenly appeared on my 2 year-old Galaxy S21+ when I was just scrolling Facebook. The phone wasn't overheated (which is believed to be the main cause of this vertical line apperance) and was operating normally at room temperature, until this green line popped up faintly at first. I immediately restarted the phone once this line appeared, and at first after rebooting the phone, the line disappeared and then appeared once again around 30 seconds later.

Double vertical green lines on Galaxy S21+ 5G
The first green line appeared in 25/09, on the following day after the monthly security update was installed on 24/09. The phone was in a cool environment during the update and didn't experience overheating whatsoever. Therefore, the real reason of this vertical green line epidemic is still unbeknownst to us, ordinary users.
As a student, i don't have the financial capability to fork out RM700+ for a screen replacement, and I am aware that appealing for a free out-of-warranty screen replacement would be a waste of time, based on other users' experience at the Samsung Service Centre. I might have to impatiently wait for free screen replacement promo as they did in last July-August, or being forced to spend a hefty amount for a defect that wasn't caused by me. As a Samsung loyalist, I and many others are waiting for an official statement from Samsung regarding this matter.

Galaxy Sidk why but if you are a student you should get A series, because A series rare to suffer green line, so you don't need to worry about green line at least until you get a job then you can pay for the screen replacement
