ultra fingerprint sensor missing

My S22 ultra has lost its fingerprint sensor.  

Its not that it doesnt work - its gone !!  Just disappeared two weeks ago.  I have restarted several times, applied updates, looked for biometrics security patch..... nothing works....... I've tried to contact samsung support but they dont respond.

It says "Sensor not responding" and that "fingerprint operation cancelled"

No fixes, no options other than to exit whatever you are trying to do.

Has anybody else had this issue?

Hi there, do you use a 3rd party screen protector by any chance? 

In some cases, screen protectors such as glass ones may interfere with the in-display fingerprint sensor.

Find this in settings->apps. Then clear cache.

Check if it now works.

Otherwise clear data
