The event was a competition to '**hac**' participating brands (which Samsung is a part of).

These are actually quite common to allow companies to suss out any weaknesses in their systems. Unfortunately, anything with tech can be hacked. So being involved in such events is all for the greater good.

This is also a good time to remind people to be safe interacting on the Internet. Be careful of links, emails, sms. Always call the official number of whatever company and not call the number they verbally/texted to you.

Stay safe everyone

If you read through your own link, Samsung is already on to it.

The good thing about Samsung isn't just Knox, but also that a lot of their new phones will have security updates for a lot longer than others. Which means your phone will be safer to use well into the future. Screenshot_20221217-180944_Samsung Internet_1000000106_1671260984.jpg
