Are you guys still having some issues with your LCDs having some yellow tint? When I adjust it to full brightness or if the brightness is low, the screen seems normal. But when you are around 50% or so, the screen shows black lines and shows discoloration in the LCD.

I suspect this is from the update. I've searched the net and found a lot of the same issue. I went to the service center to have it checked and the customer service rep told me that it is the hardware. Which I dont think so. And if you want to have it repaired, it would be very costly.

I would say have it fixed. This is the first time I experienced something like this in a Samsung device. And I always buy Samsung. This is so disappointing.

Have you guys found any fix for this? Thank you.

Short answer, no.

Long answer:

I have a 2year-old Note9 ,  almost same issue, discoloration of oled display when the phone heats up due to regular use (ie. using 4g data, playing light games), display turns yellow. And, the oled display already lacks contrast.

I already know that this is not a software issue but a hardware issue. No dents on my unit, no crack, no signs of damage, yet Samsung does not want to repair it for free. Galeng!

I went to SM North Service Center, and they are charging mo 11K for it to be fixed. No way. The value of the unit when its ok is around 8 to 10K in the 2nd hand market, maybe less, lugi pa ako! They charged me for the checkup for 200 which is basically useless.

They put a weak, sub-par screen on their unit, when it fails, which is usually after your warranty, they dont fix it for free. Actually, Samsung has issues similar with their other appliances, they put sub par parts or they're not built well and problems arise after the warranty, you should all try and see them in youtube.

This is prevalent in their other phone units but they dont give a **bleep**.

Switching to apple next time since Samsung is a big disappointment.

Possible fix for yellow/green/unreadable screen - My S9 screen is dark yellow/green and black on the bottom half after the update around November 2022. I found the problem happens when I use the activate/on button on the right side. I stopped using that and use two (2) other methods to get to the home screen and prevent the screen problem

1- Lift to Wake - Under Advanced Features > Lift to Wake

2 - Hard Press Home Button - Display > Hard Press Home Button > Pressure Level 3

So far these have kept the screen from being unreadable. This is horrible that Samsung hasn't released a patch for this since it is clearly a software issue. I had to remove my pin login since the screen could potentially become unreadable again.  So far this has worked. Hope this helps other S9 owners. Thanks K
