Hello, my new fold 7 is always trying to connect to something over Bluetooth.

It regularly pops up with "can't connect to [Mac address]"

This happens every 2 mins throughout the day which means it's not someone who is trying to pair with my phone.

It's like the Bluetooth is constantly trying to connect to something.

Any ideas?

Have you reviewed the list of devices paired to the device - making sure to remove all that isn't required or use anymore.

Also, have a look in the bluetooth advance setting to see bluetooth control history, and scan history to see if there is anything

Thanks for replying.
I only have the devices I want to have paired in the list.

For the control settings it's just showing my watch which is connected.

No worries.

I would assume that you have turned the bluetooth toggle off and back on? And also restart your phone?

Otherwise, I did a search and if it is only yout watch that is in the control history or scan history, you can try forgetting the device and reconnect it.

At this point, I don't think it is software as there isn't more reports. However, if none of the above work, through this members app, you can send an error report for further investigation by the Samsung team 😊

Hope it resolves with the above though

I have tried both and it's still doing it :(
I also reset Bluetooth settings and reconnected everything again. Think Il have to log an error report.

Thanks for helping out, I have a suspicion it's my Samsung buds. When I have them connected it never pops up. Soon as I disconnected them I always see the message. Any way I can search for that Mac address to see if it's the actual buds?

Hey, not a worry. Sorry none of that worked. Oh if you think it is the buds, maybe unpair and start the pairing process again? Otherwise yes, lodge an error report.

For the mac address, follow these steps:
- go to settings
- search find my mobile
- once in, on the bottom of the screen should be a link to samsung find website.
- if you press it, it will take you to samsung find website with all your devices listed.
- select the buds, and 3 options will pop up below with 'ring', 'refresh' and 'more'
- press 'more' then device information and it will show you that device mac address.

Hope that helps

That was really helpful, thank you for outlining the steps.

The MAC address on the buds were different so it's not that device. When I clicked device information for the watch (to check if it's the watch) it only shows the IMEI not the MAC address. I thought I should check my other Samsung devices.

Not a worry, glad it was helpful.
Maybe also try to 'find' the device on the website to ensure they are the devices you have there. Otherwise, maybe they need to be added again to the system?

Not too sure now and maybe the best option left is to lodge an error report so it can be resolved for you and you cam enjoy that beautiful device fold7 😊
