PSA : Disable Mcafee Security

I mean this shouldn't be on in the first place. But for those who don't know, by having it activated, you're 'leaking' a lot of your personal data to mcafee.

Here are some select things they take:

Fingerprints??

Websites and URLs...

Emails, addresses AND attachments...

Crazy. That's a high cost for a 'free' product.

Generally you won't need a security app. But remember:
1) don't click links you're not sure
2) only ever download apps from the Play Store.

Hi @mbckl, thanks for your feedback. If you do not wish to use this function, you can go to:

Settings > Apps > Filter > Show system apps > Device Security > Force stop > Storage > Delete app data

Is it installed in the Fold 3? I can't see device security from your instructions above.

Hi @Kombatsd, you will need to toggle on 'Show System apps' by clicked the 'Filter' icon.

Hi Laura. The only way to acxess system apps is going into change system settings under special access. And there is no device security option.

As far as I can tell, they only thing you can do is check it's turned off via the settings above.

I don't see any app you can disable, likely due to it being tightly built into OneUI.
