Just wondering how many others still don't have the Android 12 update for the Galaxy fold 3. I know in this app Samsung Australia announced the update to come in January but that clearly hasn't happened as I'm still stuck on November's security patch. Pretty disappointing for Samsung's "halo" flagship phone.
I know the update doesn't change that much but I still don't care. I know many in Australia have already received the update which doesn't make sense because I'm using the unlocked varient. (which generally is faster to push updates to as carriers don't need to approve the updates)
It is quite interesting how Australia is always the last country to receive updates. 3 years on Note 9 and now 6 months on Z Fold 3 and the trend remains the same. Samsung is able to roll out 2 updates in a month for Asia and Europe (see link below), but does not have the time to roll out the first one for Australia. The talk of carrier testing and all is just stories - Australia is not in Samsung's priority list.
Quite true... they do not just buy those excuses, but try and help convince others that the excuses are genuine. I would not be surprised if they are receiving special considerations from Samsung to say all good things. After all, who wouldn't mind getting a free new phone, or more!
Hey guys just letting you all know I've received Android 12 update and been using it for over a week now. There are many subtle quality of life changes and many updates to the Samsung apps that fix small issues. Some people say it's not that big of an update but I disagree.
Can't wait for the release of Android 12L now in the future 😅
