z flip 4 repair, what now?

Last Monday I sent off my z flip 4 (2 months old!) for an internal screen repair after opening it and seeing the black bar on the fold line with the top half losing touch sensitivity. By the time I sent it off the screen had completely stopped working.

I went to the garden city Samsung kiosk and they said it would be 2-5 business days and that they’d be sending it off to Banyo for the repair.

On the 24th the repair tracker said they had ordered parts for the repair.

On the 25th it said repair in progress and later that day said complete.

I was hopeful by tomorrow on Monday I could pick it up from garden city but I’ve awoken to the tracker being reset back to “an engineer has been assigned to this repair” in the “pending” part of tracking. I contacted support and they said they’d put an urgent follow up notice in for the repair shop to contact me but they said the same on friday. 
now call me paranoid but I’ve heard horror stories about warranty repair with Samsung and now I’m worried that they haven’t even looked at it yet and I’m gonna get stung with some bull out of warranty damage cost. I have no idea what they have or haven’t done and even when I’m gonna get it back thanks to the unreliable repair tracker.

it’s been over 5 business days and going by the new tracking info they haven’t even started after 5 business days.

anyone have experience with Brisbane repair timing for a z flip? Does this seem as fishy to anyone else?

Im so frustrated I’ve been without a phone for so long at this point and I can’t do a thing about it aside from getting angry at the undeserving customer support chatter.

I'd just wait till Monday and see how it goes. The brain is horrible in thinking the worst possible things that can happen.

Wait till Monday (or even Tues) and go from there. Who knows it could be a smooth process.

Thanks and yeah it’s hard to just sit and wait when the meter just gets reset like that and someone else has my phone. Here’s hoping 🙏

Do you have an update on this? I'm taking mine in tomorrow to the same place for much the same reason.

Essentially mobile have had my zflip 4 for around five months. I supplied the reciept i had but wasn't good enough. My argument is if there are no screens to fix these obviously cruddy phones then even with no warranty etc we can't pay even if we want to for repair as there are no parts to fix it with

I also lost all my data and passwords etc as was halfway through a backup when it's screen died
