As you all can see in the photo attached, my ZFold 4 is experiencing difficulty opening fully. I've taken the initiative to investigate by checking for dust or debris in the hinge, but unfortunately, haven't been able to find anything.

Have you heard of anyone else experiencing similar problems with this device?

Hi, if u still have Care+, do not meddle with the device any further. Set up an appointment with the service centre to have it checked.

Even if u don't have Care+, the basic warranty should suffice.

My disappointment increased when I reached Samsung service center, and I was informed that this issue was not covered under the Samsung warranty.
I find it shocking that a product that is marketed for its unique folding feature is not covered under warranty for the very feature that makes it stand out from other devices. This issue has caused me significant inconvenience, and it is unacceptable that Samsung is unwilling to address the issue under warranty.

Darn. I just got this issue. How much are they charging to fix this?

Woah.. but ur screen protector film is not damaged, right? If it's not damaged, it's pretty obvious to say that the user couldn't self damage the inner hinge component, without damaging the screen protector or even the screen itself..

Yeah... no damage at all and I'm sure that it was never dropped before. There was some scratch and Samsung technicians told me that could be sign of dropped.

I'm really disappointed with Samsung service and I wrote to them as "I find it shocking that a product that is marketed for its unique folding feature is not covered under warranty for the very feature that makes it stand out from other devices. Yes it's normal to have scratches, because the screen protector is plastic and any dust particles will scratch the protector film lightly causing permanent marking, but it doesn't damage the initial layer of protector protecting the main screen.

So, probably u will need to keep addressing this issue at the service centre and forward this issue to the manager.

Thanks for the advice.I did call and sent several emailsail to them. Till now so far no commitment from Samsung to take care under warranty.
It's really hard to deal with Samsung customer care.

Hope u can get a response soon. 🙏

As of right now, there are no competitors to Fold phones. So, it's either u pay the repair or change to new phone.

It's like a new phone cost. I'm raising my concern to Samsung Customer Service.
