Since i updated my phone on the 23/11/23 to One UI Version 5.1.1
When i open the phone to use the inner screen it doesnt switch and just stays black. I have to shut the phone, make sure the front display is off & then re-open it. The middle screen then lights up & can be used as normal.
Any ideas as to what the problem could be or do i have to take it into a Samsung shop?
It's potentially a hardware issue. However, if this started happening after you updated your software, I always recommend doing the following through Recovery mode first: Wipe Cache Partition then Repair apps. It's a generic troubleshooting step but a good practice after every software update.
Ive tried to Wipe Cache but cant seem to find out how to do it. Safe mode just makes the phone work normally just limited apps to use. Searched it but nothing comes up
Power off your device, then connect it to a computer. As soon as it displays the charging icon, press and hold the power and volume up button at the same time. Then it should boot to the recovery menu. Hope this helps!
Any update? Because it happens to my zfold4 also. In other post they repair it if under warranty since the flex was the possible problem if not the new update. Btw if they repair it then disect it better to sell the fold after repair as per experience another problem will occur. Also try to unfold it slowly bit by bit until the front turn to black and hope the inner will be ok.
