I do believe if any one of you had tried the trade-in service while buying new Samsung phones on its website, you must have dealt with Asurion.

Below is what I published on the Review website of this Company which I will just copy and paste, its really annoying and passed me off.

Looks like I am not the only victim of their scam conduct, and I have not got my money back after traded in 2 phones for the new Samsung Fold 5 I purchased 5 months ago. Obviously this company is local partner of Samsung and what they did was to hold our security deposit for their own business activities, and also hold our phones for resale for more profits, and no refund!

I really wanna bring this matter to ASIC and ACCC for investigations, as well as getting a lawyer to initiate a class action, because they obviously don't care about each individual victim's claim, but if it's a class action, i do believe they will respond, and what they did was deceptive and fraudulent. Samsung would need to be brought against as well given such service was provided through its website and promotion.

More importantly, for victims like us, they also hold our ID before we selected the trade-in options, and I am extremely concerned about the privacy leakage and potential illegal activities by such scam company which holds our ID info.

If any of you would like to do something not just for yourself, but also for the public interests, please leave your thoughts under this comment, and I will create a campaign/channel which will be shared later with you guys so we can discuss.

I hope whoever had the same issue or still suffer from it can reach out to me, so we can defend our rights as consumer together!

Yes, Samsung needs to disassociate itself from Assurion.Similarly with Latitude and Samsung failed to keep its customers informed about the data breach.

Curious to know how you went with a response from Samsung? I was given $10 for a perfect s21 ultra that I was quoted $405 as a trade in. My wife's flip3 I haven't sent in as a trade on her new phone due to this. I messaged Asurion this but they charged me a $60 late fee. Not happy.

The same perfect s21 ultra with a bit of casing and slight colour fade and they gave us $10. I kept on asking for my phone back and would pay back the $10 but the chat help kept on repeating themselves like idiots. I feel like my phone was stolen, to be honest.

Please add me to your list as I am getting nowhere after 4x chats with Samsung consultants and a phone call

The Samsung consultant on its website is useless. They don't know how to solve it, and they would just let you contact Assurion.

I tried several times to contact Ausurion. Through the customer portal. It just freezes. Goes nowhere
