Hi all, this is the first time I am posting in the Samsung community, and I am very confident that it won't make any difference, and the problem I will expose won't get fixed. This is a well-known issue that has been ongoing since 2015. In simple words, Samsung Reminder does not work for productivity at all. Now that my work environment is Microsoft, and the high number of reminders I have in a week created by the Microsoft environment is considerable, such as flagged emails, Microsoft To-Do, and projects. This keeps my project and productivity on point, but my considerably high-value Samsung product fails every time, causing me to miss deadlines and important activities which not only impact my work but my personal life. You can imagine some of the issues this causes. I have coped with this issue for more than 7 years and have tried everything—installing, resetting, toggling, etc. It appears the highly priced device is not able to sync; it fails frequently, to avoid saying all the time. The Samsung team is excellent in terms of treating me and customer service; unfortunately, their solutions are always the same: reinstall, factory reset. I can't do this every time; it's like having a babysister you pay for and have to look after your child. I am seriously considering moving to an another ecosystem the ride has been good, but time to changer my buds pro, watch and phone to a "long value phone"

I don't use Microsoft todo, so I don't need to sync them.

But if you're in the Microsoft environment, can't you just download the todo app and use that instead?

Hi mbckl, I have the Microsoft todo app installed. I need it to sync with reminder for two main reasons. One, because the Samsung alarm/ reminder is strong and second it shows the task in the 📅 (samsung).

There's also the Outlook app with its own calendar and email app combined. It sounds like you have to use that instead of the samsung calendar, so you have a smoother workflow.

They should work a lot closer with the Microsoft todo app.

@mbckl. I have used and tried all the possible app combinations and I cannot get the following: 1) strong reminders 2) that syncs with my watch 3) making the todo appears in the outlook calendar is a headache. Then there is no reason to have a Samsung product.

Are you sure that this is really an app issue, and not a battery management problem?

Did you already try to adjust the power and sleep settings for reminder and todo apps?

It could be being put to temporary sleep, preventing background sync until you actively open the app. Happens to me with cloud sync apps for google drive and one drive, and requires changing these settings for them to work all the time with no gaps.

Yes, I have done that as well. It is currently working, but the problem always reappears whenever there is an Android update. However, it is working now, and I do not know why.
