Font Style Messenger

Has anyone here na may solution na po na kapag pinalitan yung font style aside sa DEFAULT niya is mag appear as bold yung text sa messenger kapag naka unread?

Same problem here and there's is no solution until now. To be honest, that's the main reason why I stopped from using any other fonts on my samsung devices. Proper bolding of texts in ALL APPLICATIONS may seem to not work pretty well. For example, on messenger, unseen chats couldn't be recognized at all.

Turning Dark mode on will solved the problem, its easier to see unread chats when in Dark mode. Turning it off will make unread chats to remain unread cause its barely noticeable at all.

I only notice it this month cause I decided to set dark mode to turn off at a certain time everyday.

I think its Meta's fault and not Samsung's cause unread messages from Google messages is bold, dark mode on and off.

I think it's not. I have an OPPO device and other fonts are doing well in terms of bolding etc.

The other user already suggested dark mode as a temporary fix which clearly works as it highlights the text. Although I understand different users have preferences. However you said unseen chats on messenger "couldn't be recognized at all" - but I can? I'm using the SamsungOne font on the smallest size. Maybe try increasing the font size to see if that suits your needs?

Another receipt to all people out there! Yes, It's not a big problem, but kind of annoying😂😑

The SamsungOne font's letters are skinny, hence the bold isn't as pronounced. An increase in font size may help. But also, I can see the difference in the left pic on the screenshot you attached - the words that should be bold appear a tad darker the the rest. Maybe it's my eyesight?

I have the same issue! Sometimes I tend to overlook my unread messages coz they don't appear as "bold."
