black bar

anyone else getting the black bar at the bottom of the Keyboard? Is there a way to disable it? Feels like a step back, it's  there for no reason and just takes up extra screen room

From THE_GEEK_19 on a previous post: Pull down the notification shade and long press on navigation bar. this should take you to the screen you see in my screenshot. you need to select and then deselect the option "Show button to hide keyboard" this will fix that annoying space

thanks, this along with toggling off "allow back button in keyboard" worked for me

I'm using SwiftKey and not noticing this issue. I have the show button enabled.

I just did it since it was driving me crazy too; just unchecked "Show button to hide keyboard" and it worked
