fingerprint patch

Anybody know if we have the patch or is it coming to us? I know we are on beta software, but I'd figure I'd ask.

I'm pretty sure you're only affected if you scanned in your fingerprints with the screen protector on. I don't think the protector magically let's people into your phone. Though, I'd like the patch just in case.

it is not, it works if you have one of those protectors or cases. there's a video on Twitter showing it in action

Actually, you're only affected if you set your fingerprint with a special type of case that has ridges under touching the screen, so that the ultrasonic reader reads the ridges instead of your finger. People can't just steal your phone and unlock it by putting that case on. I don't know why some people think that, since you have to set a fingerprint with the case on.

My assumption is we will see the patch in this beta at same time or before it's rolled out to the public.
