could also be because one is an actual true to life desktop OS while the other is a n over glorified web browser with Android app support.

Because Samsung along with most everyone else finds that silly.

is there Chromebook updated? i can't remember where to find it (not a help i know) but i think my Chromebook had an option to link phone. it's on the Google side of settings somewhere, not the s10 series. i apologize for not knowing exactly except that it is but it's all the Google so i think you need to be using Android messenger even to do that on the Chromebook as well

Because Link to Chromebook would be for lack of a better phrase, utterly retarded. Chromebooks like Sluquid states are basically a souped up Web Browser that can natively run Android Apps. Chrome OS is pretty much an android tablet with an attached keyboard so to link to Chromebook would in essence be using android to run a virtual environment to run another instance of Android. Chromebooks don't have enough processing power for that and its unnecessary.
