messages does not work

Had Google messages in here before and it wouldn't let me use it as default on 10 beta, so I uninstalled it. But now the default Samsung messages isn't working either...this is not good. I cannot send or receive text message. Hopes this gets addressed asap.

See my post on here. My messages App crashed and won't return. I managed to select Textra as the default app and now I'm getting texts.

But if I do much as look at the Samsung Messages app the wrong way, everything crashes.

I had the issue where I couldn't select Google Messages as my default app within the app. However, when I went to Samsung settings>apps>default apps, i was able to choose Google Messages as my default for messages and then the app worked fine.
