Hi, I need to disable the phone step counter on samsung health. I only want it to track from my watch. I've tried the solution posted in here a while back which was to switch it from All Steps to Mobile Phone (I see the step number lowers), then pause the step count and change it back to All Steps, but as soon as I switch back to All Steps my step count goes right back up again. I don't want my phone tracking steps because I'm moving all day long and sometimes it's hideously wrong and it screws up all the other metrics.

There has got to be a way??

Hey @Nat75

You will need to disable permissions from your phone to stop that from happening.

Please follow the steps bellow and let me know how it goes.

1. Go to the settings app.

2. Select apps.

3. Select the Samsung Health app.

4. Go to permissions.

5. Change Physical activity and Body sensor and select don't allow for both of them.

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Amazing thank you! So this will still register my steps from my watch? Just not the phone, right?

Unless you have a galaxy fit 3, them it will stop syncing. At least it is what happens to me.

Yes, that's an issue for the fit 3. Is there a solution?
