Samsung Health Bar Codes for Food

Hi guys really would be helpful if we could have bar codes for the food intake, Samsung Health must be one of the few health apps that does not provide that feature.

Why does it need them?

Need? Not really, but it's convenient to be able to scan a package and have it identified, then the amount eaten is the only thing left to enter.

I agree.  With all of the myriad options, it is a chore to find the correct item when doing manual search.  Adding a barcode scanner is a small programming feature, I am betting, that has been written and is an easily adaptable open source library somewhere.  I OFTEN think about going back to fitbit for my fitness tracking just for this ONE thing.  So, if you want a good rating from me, consider adding this tiny feature.
