3 Ways to Get your Game Mode On

Enjoy playing games with optimised image quality and reaction speed with the Game Mode function installed on your Samsung Smart TV.
 
With low input lag, you can play games smoothly on a large screen without blurring or juddering issues. Support or performance may vary depending on the game console.

Method 1: Connect a game console to your TV

Game Mode is turned on automatically when a game console is connected to your Samsung TV. Follow  the instructions below to connect a game console.

Step 1. Use an HDMI cable to connect your console to the Samsung TV. If you wish to use the 4K@120Hz feature, you need to connect an HDMI cable to the HDMI Port 4 ( the one with the Game icon). This port is designed for the best gaming performance at 4K@120Hz.

Step 2. Turn on your TV and game console. It will automatically switch to the connected source and Game Mode will automatically activate to offer minimal input lag for the best gaming experience.


Method 2: Connect the PC to your TV

You can turn on Game Mode on a Samsung TV by connecting a PC to the TV. Follow the instructions below to connect a PC to your TV.

Step 1. Use a HDMI cable to connect your PC to your Samsung TV. If you wish to use the 4K@120Hz feature, you need to connect an HDMI cable to the HDMI Port 4 ( the one with the Game icon). This port is designed for the best gaming performance at 4K@120Hz. 

Step 2. Turn on Game Mode in the Quick Settings or Settings menu with the instructions below.

Step 2-1. Press the Home button on your remote controller.

Step 2-2. Move on to Game Mode in the Settings.

Step 2-3. Select Game Mode On and Game Mode should turn on the PC.


Method 3: Turn on the HDR settings

If your TV does not activate the Input Signal Plus settings automatically when connected to game devices such as consoles, PCs, you can turn on the settings manually with the following steps.

Step 1. Navigate to Settings on your TV.

Step 2. Select General and then select External Device Manager.

Step 3. Select Input Signal Plus.

Step 4. Select the HDMI Port that your game device is connected to.

If you turn on HDMI Input Signal Plus, users can activate HDMI2.1 features on the connected device. In case of a console, HDMI input signal plus should turn on automatically in Game Mode.
