My dad's Huawei Nova 3i has an option in the display settings that makes you change or reduce the resolution from 1080p to 720p and it saves a lot of battery. When will this be an option in Samsung?

It's already available. Though only select devices are able to do it. 😊

Settings > Display > Screen Resolution

Here is a step by step official guide by Samsung. 😄

Hope this helps you. 😁

If you clinked the link you would have seen that yes you can drop it to 720p. But again it depends on the model series.

This option is already available when I got my s22 ultra. Check your screen resolution settings.

Thanks for your inquiry here about lowering your Samsung Galaxy A series phone screen resolution in order to save battery.

Yes, some Samsung Galaxy devices allow you to change the screen resolution in the Display menu in Settings, but it turns out its not available upon your checking on your Samsung Galaxy A device.
