SupportHello everyone, just wondering if someone has the same issue with their s22 ultra. When I just got it, the option to turn the VoLTE option was there but after updating, the option was gone. I contacted Samsung support and was told it was the network provider issue in New Zealand. However, it was the same sim card before and after the update. I have two sim cards in there, Spark and Skinny. I bought another sim card from the warehouse and it was still the same issue. I don't want to go and try all the network only to find out that it was nothing to do with the network providers.
Anyone else has this issue?
My software information is as follow:
One UI version: 4.1
Android version: 12
I searched in the community post and found other people having the same issue too.

Thanks

SupportHi Ryan, the VoLTE option has been removed by the network vendors, you will need to contact the network vendor directly to turn it on/off. Thanks - The Samsung Team

SupportNo that can't be right. I just have a chat with Spark and they said they don't do it. I am 1000% sure that the option was available before the update. So how could you explain why the option was available before the software update if it's because of the network vendor. I use the same sim cards?
I also have this reference number 2341404483 for this issue. Have sent a screenshot of my conversation with Spark.

Support@samsung_ruby, do you work at Samsung? I just have a chat with Samsung support. What you said is incorrect. I was told that this option was removed not by the network vendors. It was removed because of the software update. So it was because of the software update. I just wasted time searching and bought a new sim card for nothing to try to enable this option.
For those who wants to have this option available, please don't update your phone to the latest firmware above.

SupportI've had one clown from Shamsung claim "carrier update" but another state it was themselves. I think it is in the carrier update but not from the carrier TBH. The wife has a Telstra Note10+ 5G running on Optus (so Telstra CSC) and my Note10+ 5G from Optus (Optus CSC). The wife still has the option on her phone and my phone does NOT.
I'll NEVER buy another carrier locked phone from Optus ever again the dirty pricks, they lied through their teeth about the issue, claimed several times over they disabled VoLTE at the network level and didn't. It took the Samsung Band Selection app to disable it and then Shamsung are screwing with that app for other options.
I'm starting to ponder a return to Apple TBH.

SupportYes I know what you are saying about shifting blame. Was told the same thing that service providers were to blame and not wanting to do anything about it.

SupportThe funny thing is Google does Android and phone manufacturers muck around with it.
Even apple phones have it now on permanently and can't turn it off or on, so at the end of the day, Samsung is full of ***.
