Hey guys. I recently posted here that despite the multiple troubleshooting steps advised by the Support community and my local carrier (Globe Postpaid), I've been having a hard time placing outgoing calls.  I read through the forums, and TURNING OFF VOLTE FOR CALLS FIXED THE ISSUE. Any idea why this is happening when its intention is to just use LTE when making calls? Thanks!

Hello asbaquipel,

We really appreciate you sharing your experience about the inability of your Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra to make outgoing calls with your do-it-yourself solutions by turning-off the VOLTE. here.

VoLTE stands for Voice Over LTE, and it happens when your Mobile Network Service Provider or Carrier allows you to place a phone call over your LTE connections instead of the older legacy voice networks.

Before you try out the recommendations below, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps are updated to the latest version. To update your mobile device's software, follow these steps:

Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.

Step 2. Tap on Download and install.

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 4. Restart your device.

You can enable VoLTE on your Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra as follows:

Step 1. Open the Settings on your home screen or app drawer, or slide down from the top of your screen.

Step 2. Tap on Connections.

Step 3. Tap on Mobile networks.

Step 4. Toggle on VoLTE calls.

Once enabled, your phone calls will be handled via LTE data. VoLTE support will vary by Mobile Network Service Provider and location.

Further, you can reach out to the Customer Service support of the Mobile Network Service Provider to inquire the status of the signal in your coverage area.

You think so? If yes, do you have any idea where can I report it?

Yes, you can send an error report through this app and hopefully they release a patch on the next software update. Is your SIM the latest available?

I'll try to send a report. With regard to the sim being the latest available, I'm unsure. This has been under Globe Postpaid for four years now.

May I suggest to get a new SIM every renewal/recontracting. This could also be the cause of your issue - I personally do this everytime. Baka kailangan bagong SIM, alam ko parang may features yung newer SIMs in terms of functionality ng devices.

Alright. I'll check this with Globe on my rest day. They can replace sim cards naman with the same number no?

The post I referred to earlier for the solution also advised to turn off WiFi calling. Really not sure why. :(
