Why can't I record video zooming in up to 100x? (S21 Ultra)

Video mode only records up to 20x, photo mode can zoom up to 100x but I can't record video while zooming in at the same time.

Use "Screen Record" while zooming with 100x.

I know, that's the workaround I'm doing but it gives you the whole phone UI and the camera UI elements in the recorded video, which I know you can just crop it out but you then get a smaller view of the video. It's so much work really, not to mention you have to manually start/stop screen recording and have to wait for it to render when you crop the video. All that work for a premium phone, just to record a video that showcases its capbilities.

that probably has something to do with the video resolution.
Zooming that far won't achieve the target resolution quality, so even the lowest res the device can record can only go up to 20x zoom

I understand that, and it's fine really, everyone knows it's digital zoom, and no other phone can can do that (that I know of). It's annoying that you need screen recorder to do it, when it can be done easily if only samsung enabled it.

Technically it is possible to film a video at 100x by zooming in at 100x from the Photo mode, then sliding up the shutter button to enter into Video Mode.


The downside here is that you'll be locked at 100x without an option to zoom out.

Though I really don't see the use of 100x in video aside from the bragging rights of being able to do it because let's be honest, 100x is still grainy in photos, how much more in videos.

Yes, that I know. Though, I want to be able to record video zooming in/out from .6x to 100x. Grainy quality? I don't care, I'm not shooting for cannes.

I checked but can't find anything about it. Zoom in pro mode is even more limited, only 10x. If someone can show me how to do this in "pro" mode, that'd be great!
