So I used to see the speed of all my mobile and wifi networks on Galaxy Note 20 ultra and I still do on Galaxy Note 20 ultra. (Which is currently running One UI 5.1. Apparently, they have removed this feature in One UI 6.1.1.
I just realised it today when I was updating Tab S8 and it said the network I was connected to will take about 2hrs to download 3GB updates. I tried to check the speed of the network but it was no longer available . It's a handy feature because it allows you to see a faster network at that particular time of the day and then you switch to that to download 2-3 GB updates. I pulled out my Note 20 and it was there. So whhy did they remove it from One UI 6.1.1, by the way? The screenshot I just shared is from my Note 20 Ultra. Come on folks!

There are speed test options via your browser or using apps. I have a preference, no logic, for browser and use Optus speed test. This is using Optus wireless internet combined with home wi-fi network. Wi-fi can slow it down depending on where you are in the house. Next to the router gives best.

Continuing to use a speed test on each, on my phone numbers if I turn off mobile data I get the speed for my home wi-fi network. If I turn off wi-fi and turn on mobile data I get my phone speeds. It is slightly more complex than that because I have dual sim. Ultimately I get:
1.Optus wireless internet speed via wi-fi.
2.Boost mobile data speed from my phone (wi-fi turned off)
3. Amaysim mobile data speed from my phone (wi-fi turned off)
and variants which sometimes seem different such as Boost or Amaysim phone connected to Optus wireless internet wi-fi as in 1. above.

I used to use a particularly good wi-fi analyzer which no longer works and haven't found a good substitute from Play Store. No good for actual broadband but it showed all wi-fi networks including the neighbours. Within, for instance the 2.4 band, it showed which of the appprox 12 frequencies were being used by each network so you could use frequencies not used by your neighbours or fastest available. You could even wander around the house checking which rooms were best for wi-fi connection. I am sure some of the current alternatives are useful but I haven't found one I like.

Also a VPN usually slows down my connection but sometimes is noticeably faster.as it bypasses some of the hops in-between (even seems to grab some of the bandwidth in your closest cell tower).

Thank you. I will look into the Optus one. It's a little inconvenience, though, to keep using an app all the time. But something is better than nothing.

There's a hidden Connectivity Labs that you can enable. It's a very good feature where you can see a lot of information about your connections.

Settings > Wi-Fi > 3 dots top right > Intelligent Wi-Fi > Scroll down and tap Intelligent Wi-Fi multiple times until it says Connectivity Labs enabled.

You can now access it by going back to Intelligent Wi-Fi.

If you click the current Wi-Fi connection there, it will show more details.
