Samsung S9 FE fingerprint sensor not working

Just bought my tablet around April 2024.

Suddenly my tablet's fingerprint sensor not working

Did a hard reset

Accessibility reset, settings reset, update

Sometimes it comes back to normal, then i notice that when i put back the samsung tab case freebie, it will not work again.

When it works, fingerprint sensor registers my new fingerprint like normal. What's happening?

i think no one can help you here, and it's sad given it's samsung forum community. 

Try to clear data app of your biometrics and securefolder via adbapp control.

Hello! I recently encountered the same issue with the fingerprint sensor suddenly not working. It happened randomly one night while I was using my tablet, and it was really stressing me out. I was able to temporarily fix it by resetting the accessibility settings and restarting the tablet, based on what others have shared. But unfortunately, the issue came back after a while.

I also tried updating to One UI 7, hoping it would solve the problem, but it actually made things worse. The fingerprint sensor still doesn’t work—it says it’s not responding whenever I try to register a fingerprint. Plus, I now get a white background when typing my password on the lock screen, instead of the usual blurred wallpaper.

Have you experienced any other issues? Were you able to find a fix? I’ve only had my tablet for about two months, so this has been really frustrating.
