For my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 + 5G, the current text editor has persistently been a painful disaster for editing Wikipedia. This problem has continued for some months. I have waited, hoping it would be fixed, but that hasn't happened. The problem is in changing fonts. To find out exactly what I mean, Samsung engineers should do some trial editing of Wikipedia. The problem is clearly evident in operation of the Wikipedia editor's Watchlist facility, and appears in other ways too. The problem is worse with long articles, for which it is practically crippling. It is a new problem, introduced a few months ago; till then, there was no such problem; I know this because I have years and years of experience of satisfactory editing Wikipedia with Samsung tablets. This text editor problem is a serious blemish in current Samsung Galaxy tablet performance. It calls for attention from Samsung text editor engineers. I don't see how to contact them directly. I tried the chatbot, but it didn't help.
The thing has worked well until recently. I cannot diagnose the problem. The only way to diagnose it is that Samsung engineers do some Wikipedia editing. The problem does not occur on my Windows 10 desktop. It is a problem with my Samsung tab S7 + 5G.
I didn't know there was a Wikipedia app. I haven't tried it with a non-Samsung browser on my tablet. I like the Samsung browser. Whatever might happen with a Wikipedia app or the Chrome browser, the problem with the Samsung browser is recent. I think Samsung engineers should investigate. I have tried to demonstrate it to a Samsung chat help agent with Smart Tutor, but it did not really work.
When I instal and run the Wikipedia app on my Samsung Galaxy S7+5G, and in it switch to the desktop option (the preferred option), I am just automatically switched to the Samsung Internet version.
When I try to log in to Wikipedia from Chrome, and opt for desktop version, and try to access my Watchlist, I am given the option of going to the Wikipedia app or to Samsung Internet. I think this problem should be referred to Samsung engineers.
