Beware that after enjoying using the SmartThings app for a while you will be disappointed to find your device will be dropped from being able to connect after 2-3yrs.

We’ve been happily using the app to control our 2020 “The Frame” Samsung TV since we bought it, only to find out that some time earlier this year or late 2022 they’ve removed support for it.

Only TVs manufactured later than 2021 can now connect, which seems an unreasonably short period of time to   Begin rendering such an expensive asset obsolescent.

Does anyone know if there are any 3rd party apps available that can still work with older Samsung TVs?
