I have the Samsung AU8000 50 TV. I sometimes use the SmartThings app on my iPhone as a remote. However, accessing the power button on the app can be slow. I also can’t use Apple shortcuts or Siri to quicken this process.
I noticed recently that the app can be converted into a small widget on the Home Screen of the phone, that can switch on the tv immediately upon touching the widget. This is much more convenient, however:
1. Touching the widget while the TV is on doesn’t similarly switch off the TV
2. There is no way to access the app through the widget anymore.
Has anyone else found a better way to use the app to control the TV?
