I have recently learnt how to schedule text messages ....
To do this, you simply go into your text messages and as you would do normally, type your text. When finished typing your message, instead of hitting send, hold down on it untill a dialog box appears where you can put in the date and even the time you wish for your message to be sent. 👍
Iv now not need worry bout forgetting to send happy birthday, merry christmas ,happy new year or any occasion messages to family and friends.
I love this🥰😍🤩 have been using it for years. Also really handy if you need to send something but too late or you wake up during night.
I've got S10+ (not sure if makes a difference), to schedule msg there is a plus sign next to camera & image icons to left of text box. Tap it, a drop down appears with scheduling, quick response, contacts etc I've never used the others. Anyway you tap schedule msg, another box opens to choose date & time, once selected hit send button, message box is grey with little clock symbol. If you want to change date time content etc just open it make changes & repeat steps.
