I always felt a bit uncomfortable having my data transferred to a new device at the local telco stores. I still remember a staff member actually reading out each contact name as he asked if I wanted to keep them all during a transfer! It felt invasive and totally unnecessary.
So I love that with Samsung, you can just transfer everything between devices by yourself, including from non-Samsung models, making upgrades easy.
