Tips & TricksParental lock TV channels of your choosing if you would like to stop your children viewing specific channels. You will need to switch on the lock feature as well as add the channels you wish to be locked. Follow the guide below to find out how.

Note:
- Applications may have separate parental control settings for configuration.
- Before locking a free to air TV channel, you will need to ensure you have a digital TV Antenna installed to receive a digital broadcast and that the Antenna Cable has been connected properly to your TV or One Connect Box
Block TV programs by rating
You can make sure your child only views shows that are rated G and PG. Follow the steps below to learn how.
1. Click the Home button on your Samsung remote
2. Select Settings
3. Choose Broadcasting then Programme Rating Lock
Note: The Broadcasting menu is only available when the Source is set to Live TV. The Broadcasting menu cannot be accessed while you watch TV using a cable box, satellite receiver, or with any Smart Hub apps.
Press the Source button on your remote control to toggle to the TV input. On newer TV models, select the Home button on your remote > Source > Live TV.
If you are still unable to view the Broadcasting menu, check your antennae connection to your TV
4. You will be prompted to input your TV PIN
Note: The default PIN is 0000.
5. Select the Live TV programme rating you wish to block
Lock Apps
There may be apps on your TV geared towards adults or they may have programmes you wish for your child to view. Follow the steps below to learn how to lock an app from viewing.
When you wish to use the locked app, you will be prompted to enter the TV's PIN.
1. Head to Apps
2. Select Settings
3. Select an app then Lock
