Not sure why so many seem to be having issues. I have the S10 on Tmobile. At this point everything is good and my phone seems really fast and smooth. When I downloaded the first beta release I had several issues. I performed a factory reset and it cleared all of the major problems. I only had a few small issues after that. Now at this stage of beta I really like how my phone is performing and have no issues. I know a factor reset can be a pain but I highly recommend it for those who haven't tried this action. Good luck to ya'll and Happy Thanksgiving!

I've had almost no issues at all through the entire beta. Since no one reports their phone model or carrier there's no way to tell what those phones have in common if anything.

People are having so many problems because they never did a factory reset. With a major update like moving from Pie to Android 10 a factory reset should always be performed but most people don't do it.

You literally have no proof of that.

I haven't done a factory reset at all through the beta program and haven't run into problems
Tips
how exactly do you know if people have done a factory reset or not? also, a factory reset is absolutely NOT necessary after an update. I really wish people would stop spreading that. it's simply not true
Tips
also, there is more than one build of the beta. not everyone is on the same build which is why some are having issues and others aren't.

this is from the article jamjampoo cited:

"I understand why we do it, because its easier to just bite the bullet and reinstall everything than it is to deal with a phone that acts like its broken. I'm not even saying we shouldn't be doing it or suggesting it because unfortunately, it's solid advice. Waiting for an update to fix the real problems isn't a solution because it will never arrive — manufacturers are too busy working on something new they can sell to find time to fix or maintain the things they have already sold."

so, that article is more about why we shouldn't have to factory reset, not that we don't have to, and it concedes that it is still an effective method for resolving problems after a major update. also, it's an old article.

I really don't care. if you wanna go thru the unnecessary hassle of factory resetting every time, have fun. just because you do it, doesn't mean it's necessary. also, perhaps you should read the whole article. or learn some reading comprehension skills (this part is really important since you clearly missed the entire point of the article, and you also very clearly skipped most of it as well).
also, the age of the article doesn't matter. it absolutely still holds true now more than it did then since technology has advanced just in the short amount of time since the article was written.
