TV & AudioHi, we are new to this forum.
We have just purchased a new TV - UA43AU8000WXXY Crystal UHD 4K Smart LED. We cannot work out how to record to an external hard drive...
We have had a Samsung TV for 6 years with no issue; we also have had Samsung mobiles for many years, again with no issues. We have tried the Samsung help desk but found we knew more than them.
There does not seem to be any menu option - Schedule Manager only allows to set for Viewing, not recording.
Any help much appreciated - if we cannot sort this we will return the TV.
We are in Melbourne, Australia if that is any help.

TV & AudioNo worries @amgcmc, I'm here to help! The e-manual is a guide for all sizes of the AU8000 televisions, so the different sizes may have differing capabilities.
Sorry to hear the Samsung Support team was not helpful. If you have any further feedback you would like to provide, please send us an email and we will forward it internally.

TV & AudioHi @amgcmc, unfortunately the Crystal UHD TV does not have recording capabilities. This is seen in the specifications of the model (as Extended PVR in not supported). TV & AudioThank you so much! This was never pointed out to us and we did say we would want to record. Saw this in the specs but did not understand implications.... The so-called Samsung Support was terrible - I could have got a job there and done better.... Unfortunately, the e-manual does say we can do this....
Luckily our our TV (approx 7 years old) still works well.....

TV & AudioIncredible we only just bought YESTERDAY the UA65AU8000WXXY and we cannot record, after -yes- telling the store that we wanted to record, have spent near 16 hours trying to figure this out, rang Samsung twice, second calls revealed that model has no Timeshift feature... **bleep**! all this money and a stupid 'smart' TV, Am absolutely disgusted....
