FRAME TV Remote not charging

I have a FRAME TV bought in December of 2021.  I am recently getting a message that my remote battery is extremely low and it needs to be recharged.  It has been solar charging for 1 year with no issues until today.  I've left it according to the directions with the solar panel facing up for more than 8 hours and it still shows as 10% charged.  

Do I need to replace the remote or is there something I'm missing?

I did overnight, but no change in battery %.

I am having the same problem with the same age TV.  I tried charging the remote with a USBC cable over night and the remote still only has 6% battery.

Hello @Jane8 

I’m sorry that you are having issues with your Remote.

 

 I suggest you try some of the solutions listed below:

 

  1. Make sure that you have entirely removed the film that is inserted in the bottom of your Samsung Smart Remote.
  2. Make sure that your Smart remote is not disconnected from your TV.
  3. Your batteries might need to be charged more or replaced
  4. While pointing your remote at the screen. Press and hold play/pause and return buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. Your TV will begin syncing with the smart remote.

I'm having same issues with my remote purchased 65" July 2022. Spent last month or prob more, having to constantly plug in to recharge. Lucky if it lasts an hour after fully charging by use and won't solar charge at all 😡
And yes, I've done all things suggested above...
Do I need to contact Samsung for replacement or return to a store? I bought online and their site says bring in but how will they replace unless they take one from a new TV???
