For people stuck in the loop of trying to activate google assistant on their TV, keeps saying "not setup" or "setup not complete" or "not signed in" or the even with a code your "device cant be found"

after hours of going in circles, resetting the TV, swapping networks, going thru every setting for assistant, re-pairing with smart things, all the steps....

THIS WORKED...

My Samsung UA43AU8000 tv kept saying "you need to complete setup", "you need to sign in", would give me a code, the code never worked on any device, always says "no devices found".

I FINALLY FIXED IT... i had to log into my google account on the TVs internal samsung browser, then press the MIC button on the remote, get the error again, press finish setup, get another code off the screen, then use the internal samsung browser again to go to the website provided and enter the code.

straight away it splashed up a different message on the code input screen, then sat there thinking for a minute or so (never did that to this point) then it said my device setup was successful.

pressed the MIC button with some hesitation, and she asked me what i wanted to do...

MIRACULOUSLY it now works.

I have a 55" The Frame with the same issue. However, this work around does not work for me.

I have the QN90B and this doesn't work for me either

All i get after entering the code is "waiting" and then it goes to "Something went wrong. Please try again later"

Annoying!

I have the same TV and I am running into the same issue. I tried setting up the assistant with my wife's and my phone but it doesn't work on any. And the tip described above also doesn't work for me. I am at my wits end! Should have kept my Sony TV 🥲.
