Not happy with TV

I bought a 65" Crystal UHD TU7000, and have not been happy with is since I bought it.

I had a representative come to my home, to address the issue, and they advised that there is nothing that they can do.

For some scenes, the screen is so dark, it is just a black screen.  I have other TV's, and the same scenes are not black. 

When I have friends over, they ask me what it wrong with my TV.   I tell them that this is how it is supposed to be, as I have had a Samsung Rep out to check out the TV.

I wish I would have returned the TV when I first had the problem, but I thought that Samsung would fix it, as I had already mounted it to the wall, and didn't want to have to take it down.

Not happy with this Samsung TV.  My friends are not impressed either.

Quality of Samsung products is less than average at best. I bought one of their top range washing machines and paid for an extended warranty thankfully because it's been repaired due to faults 3 times already under its base warranty. I'm sure there's many more to come.

Try searching calibration settings for tu7000, and apply those settings. Hope it helps.

I would use movie mode for all settings. Medium gammer. Then select a brightness that suits the room, if additional options to add to movie mode.

Best to pop into JB Hi-Fi or a TV display store and ask what settings they use.

The TU700/crystal series is the lowest tier of the Samsung tv lineup. It's a functional tv, but you won't get the same contrast you'll find on a QLED or OLED. I've found the TV's become high end from the QN85 series and upwards.

There's often deals on the members app so you might be able to find one at a good price. I got my qn85b 65" for $1400 👀

I thought the lowest tier is marketed as 'LED' I thought crystal sets were micro pixel?

Nah they are ultra hd so the picture quality is good, but afaik they use standard led lighting. The QLED range is where they start using mini-leds

Kill the energy saving settings... Dive in to the settings menu as there are a few of them
