TV & AudioHi All,
Merry Christmas!
Game Mode on my Samsung Q80T is set to Auto but when the PS5's HDR is set to 'On When Supported', whenever I fire up an SDR game Game Mode gets disabled and the TV reverts back to my standard "Movie" picture mode as opposed to just switching to the SDR picture settings for Game Mode. HDR games work as expected and Game Mode remains on.
If I change the TV so that Game Mode is always on for the PS5's input source then Game Mode stays on and the SDR picture settings are used. I'd rather not force Game Mode on if I can help it.
I can play my Nintendo Switch in Auto Game mode with SDR so not sure why Game Mode is being disabled by the PS5.
Is this because of the PS5's lack of ALLM or could it be something else I'm missing in the TV settings?
Thanks!

TV & AudioHi @ward_ting, thanks for reaching out.
As noted on our support page, the port on your TV marked HDMI-STB (Set Top Box) is best for gaming consoles, and the port marked HDMI-DVI will be best for PCs. Are you able to check if your PS5 is connected correctly?
