Installed our newly delivered 65 inch S95D, everything works well.  Thought I would try a wired network connection but the One Connect box fails to detect the network cable being connected.  Have tried Cat5e, Cat 6 etc etc. other devices connect fine.  Anyone else experience this?

My TV is a bit older so not sure if the software still works this way on newer models but have you changed your network settings from wireless to wired? Sorry if this is too obvious and you already have the correct setting enabled! If not, go into network settings and update it to wired.

Yeah unfortunately I've tried that too after reading some other posts. I've got a newer Cat 8 cable coming to try tomorrow. A few with older models had similar issues and found the one connect box to be quite picky with the cabling. Will try that and see how it goes.

Just wondering how you went in the end? All working now? If so, was it the cable or something else?

I had called Samsung support and a tech was booked for repairs after doing a series of tests, then earlier I got home after work, turned the TV on and it auto downloaded what appears to be a incremental update because the version number didn't change. And bugga me it works now, with any cable etc.. so strange..

Does the smart view or media streaming from phone or laptop to tv work just using the wired connection?
Mine didn't, I had to switch to wifi to get it to work.
It would be nice if it could have 2 NIC's bound to TCP/IP simultaneously instead of one at a time

I tried with a brand new Cat8 cable - tested using my DVD player... it didn't work for me.

Did get a firmware update - but that didn't enable it either.

Did you get to the bottom of this?

I just got it crystal and the WI. Fi actually takes priority over the wired if I want to use wired. I have to disconnect the wifi and then reenable the Ethernet.
Allot of the functionality on the TV Use wi fi direct which is why I think it behaves like this

Just installed a 77S95D this evening. Very frustrating - wifi connection would not work. After reading many reviews on google and reddit, finally found someone with the same problem. At issue is the lack of support for Unifi APs set with WPA2/WPA3 security.  No idea what the problem is but if you fall back to WPA2 only it works fine.  Seems like this is a area that Samsung could easily fix and make the user installetion process much better.
