Hi all

I received the new BU8000 55” TV along with a HW-A450 soundbar. One thing that has been immediately noticeable is no matter which application I’m using (Netflix , Stan, Samsung Live  ) etc the audio synch is really quite poor. There are no options to adjust on the TV or soundbar unless it’s connected via optical.

The TV firmware was out of date so that’s been upgraded and made no difference and last night I upgraded the sound-bar firmware which seemed to improve it slightly however as of tonight , the TV no longer recognizes the sound-bar via Bluetooth . I’ve “forgotten” the device, re-paired , and removed the power from the soundbar for 5 seconds to resynch and still nothing. The firmware upgrade on the soundbar was successful, however there are no release notes , or  information on what this firmware does , fixes (or breaks by the looks of things). I am surprised that a Bluetooth connection on 2021 soundbar is struggling with a 2022 screen that badly , and I can only put it down to a new screen / software early glitches . Its really disappointing that the audio was out of synch in the first place by about a second , and then to have what looks like a firmware upgrade break the Bluetooth connection all together. At this stage, my only option is to get the installer back to run an optical cable up through the wall which seems pretty drastic. Is there any way of factory resetting these soundbars? I have also found the navigation on this screen to be laggy , and every time you return to the Home Screen it seems to resynch the image and also sometimes Netflix just launches with a black screen and then nothing so you need to uninstall and reinstall in order for it work. I also noticed yesterday that the software update is now greyed out and says it’s not available. Pretty poor all round and now I’m left with the TV speakers as my only sound source. If these products are not compatible or firmware upgrades shouldn’t be done because of compatibility issues   with particular models then it should be stated clearly ….

Hi @fabiocaponi, have you tried adjusting your sound control?

The audio adjustment on the TV or sound-bar is only available when connected via hdmi or optical cable not  Bluetooth. There are no options for any kind of audio synching.

Hi @fabriocaponi, could you also test the following steps and let me know how you go?

1. Put your Soundbar into BT Pairing mode to connect to TV:

To turn on “BT PAIRING” mode, change the source of the soundbar to “BT” mode, and then press and hold the (Source) button for more than 5 seconds.

From here, check to see if your TV recognises the soundbar.

2. Reset the soundbar

On the soundbar, press and hold the - and + for about 5-10 seconds until mode changes to INT and let go.

Wait until soundbar is off after a few seconds and power on by holding the power button on the left.
