I read in the paper today you can download an app that will do all sorts of things. Increase security clear 3rd party's from your chache clear malware among other things. for Samsung phones, computers, tablets etc. It's $3
Is this for real. My phone is already hacked so I've nothing to loose 🤔

Do you know what's the name of the app?

My suggestion.. nope. don't do it.

Just secure your phone and don't do unnecessary things like installing 3rd party apps from unknown sources, clicking random links, connecting to public wifi and doing transactions/login without vpn etc.

Utilise all your phone's out of the box security features. Use stronger password, secure folders, bio-metrics etc. Your phone also have built in anti-virus. Just go to device care > security > and enable it from there. I personally don't use it but you can give it a go if you think you will feel more safe using that.

Good luck!

The thing is I have very few apps and most of those were Samsung apps. So I'm going to do as you advised and stuff it. Everyone else seems to have my info anyway. The amount of unwanted emails and spam is ridiculous.
My sister who has an apple whatever has had not one problem.

Oh I think the app was Adblock. Quite ironic isn't it 🙁

Thanks I do that but still got hacked. My whole pension gone from my account. Samsung said to use the bank app and not use internet so trying that. The bank gave me my money. But after 45 days investigation if they find it's my fault for downloading something I agreed to then I have to pay it back. I'm not sure what will happen if it's the hacker who agreed to it as they already had my account details.

May I ask are you on a plan contract? I got one s23+ the sim card attached to someone and everything is hacked. My teenage son his centrelink crn a card was made with his crn but by the card start date it would make him 18 my payments I lose over $1300 I don't know how centrelink even allowed without notifying me bank details were changed I was unable to access things and had no idea. So yes your mobile data will cause the problems but regardless its sitting in the phones system so unfortunately and I sat that as confirmed by ombudsmen it does not matter you will have to do a full factory reset but if you are on plan ie telstra is do not do a thing bar call the ombudsmen

Yes I'm on a plan hasn't done me much good though and I have neither the will nor energy to go to the Ombudsman. Only to get the same result.

The guy I spoke to at Samsung told me anything you download from the internet whether it's games or even a TV show hackers can attach themselves to it and once they are in if you haven't updated your ph. they can then get into your email and get any personal info there. Also don't put your bank details on anything nor email. Which sort of leaves you no where. Everything you want to watch wants your email or how can you buy anything including games?? Doesn't make sense. I do update my ph. and that makes things worse 🤯

Your **bleep** right you should have got a note from your mygov account to confirm it was you who made any changes. I always have before but this time it was straight from the bank.
One thing I did find among my photos was a QR code with my name above it. I have never used a QR code in my life. I was told to delete it. Not by Sumsung. When in the shop they were disappointed because they could've caught the hacker that way. I was too but can't blame Sumsung for that. Is scary to know someone is out there knowing all about me. Not sure what a QR code does but sounds menacing. I had one at covid but it's not the same.
I hope the hacker is reading this. We will get you **bleep**
