I am currently using the SmartTag+ and the primary concern is that my tags become entirely nonfunctional without an internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular). I'm curious to know if the second generation of these tags will operate even without an internet connection. In other words, can I make Galaxy SmartTag 2 ring when I don't have access to the internet?
Thank you for your reply. The SmartTag+is also operate on Bluetooth. However, it does not work without internet. If you are sure that this was fixed for SmartTag2, I am going to buy them!

Thank you. Unfortunatly, this information does not related to my original question. My current issue, that old version of Smart tags are fully useless when the internet connection is absence. Therefore, I could not activate the lost mode.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. So I have spoken with the relevant team and they have advised that the SmartTag needs internet/data to be able to ping/ring it.
Thank you for your detailed checking if my issue. I am disappointed to hear that this basic function was not improved at second version of the SmatTag. I will be waiting for the 3rd edition :)
Meanwhile I have one of. My vehicle that was put on there by someone else. I can't physically locate it, can't connect to it with my Samsung A54. But the best part is my iPhone alerted me to the smart tag tracking me. Samsung phone support were useless. May get a phone call back in 2 days. In the meantime I just need to know someone is watching where I go.
