After upgrading to Android security patch level on Dec1, any Samsung health exercises fail to ever get a gps lock. The green location icon always flashes and says searching for gps on watch.
I'm using Samsung Galaxy S23.
I have all latest at patches, firmware on phone and watch galaxy watch 4 (VE3N) model SM-R890.
I have turned both on and off Google location accuracy, but this makes no change.
All permissions are granted. I see it as an app issue since last security patch.
I even factory reset my watch and re paired. Still same behaviour.
It's only on Samsung health app and any exercises. .
Google Maps and compass pick up GPS within seconds.
Been triny to get Samsung members logs sent but going around in circles.

Hi I have had the same issue with my watch 5 and was wondering if you still have the same problem? I have been trying to solve this with samsung for months. I have sent my watch to the service centre and they said nothing wrong with the hardware but it definitely has not been working!

Still same I for new firmware update for my wa ch yesterday thinking itld be fixed but not they just added some dumb features to show yr Samsung health data on a Samsung TV. Really!
How about fixing the issue whereby there is not Samsung health maps and GPS data 1st before adding TV mirror feature.
I sent another message to. Them today they said it's with special needs investigation unit. I'm considering refund or credit. Since Dec1 it's now 4mths old and still no closer. Sent all logs detail data and nothing. Just waiting investigation. If Samsung read this. Please help reply fix with firmware patch ASAP.

BTW this same issue impacts galaxy watch 4 and also watch 5 (wife's). Exact same issue and no health maps data since Dec.. Just HR from watch synced
