As I can see from many posts, my Galaxy Watch 4 will not receive any messages nor send any when on LTE (whether phone is off or on). It receives calls just fine. I have spent now 2 months with Telstra resetting watches and phones, sent the watch back for fault finding, replaced with a new watch and still the same outcome. Reading all the posts, it seems like a very common issue. I have sent off an error report today, but not hopeful as many other have done the same with still no outcome. Are there any updates or resolve that anyone has had with this? Very frustrating paying from something that doesn't work as it should.

Hi @Bushfirey, that's strange.

I suggest sending an error report via the Wearable app for this to be investigated. To send an error report for a wearable, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Galaxy Wearables app > click on the device desired on the side menu
  2. In the side menu, tap Contact us > Error reports (in the Get help section)
  3. Fill in details and the frequency of the issue that you have with the wearable.
  4. Click send.

@Bushfirey I don't use the Google Messages app, so not sure how that works, but if you're using the Samsung Messages app, then please try this:

Open the Messages app, then tap on the Messages icon at the top.

On the next screen, check if the Phone is highlighted and if yes, tap on the watch icon.

Hopefully this will helpScreenshot_20220625_160043_messaging_2784_1656137557.pngScreenshot_20220625_160048_messaging_2785_1656136850.png

Hi Dolgogi. That little symbol does not appear on my watch. It only has the recipient area. Nothing else at all.

Strange.

Another thing you can check is open the Wearables app, go to Watch Settings> Advanced Features> Remote connection and see if that's turned on.

If not, turn it on and then give it a try and see if you can get the watch to send messages over the number share.

Remote connection turned on. Turned off and back on with no success again.

You should go on to watch permissions then select texting and calling and allow them to be used on your watch
