Wearables
I don't wear my watch 4 much. It's on the charger always. Next to my bed.
1. I use it once a week and often I pick up and it's rebooted so I have to sign in again
2. Often the screen turns on for a few seconds for no reason. I'm sleeping and the light wakes me
Any ideas?

Try to factory reset the watch.

1. May be due to losing contact with your other device. Check if auto-reconnect is an option (I don't have a watch to compare).
2. Check if it has anything to do with notifications by going to Settings, search for Notifications. My phone lights up for incoming emails

In this case, it is not connectivity. or notifications because my phone is right next to the watch. There is nothing coming in and sometimes it will just blink on every 20 seconds.

I made this ststement on the assumption that when you leave your house with the phone but not the watch. As an example, I have two providerd at home, one Optus wireless imternet, the other Telstra/ Internode dsl. When I return from shopping my phone automatically chooses the zTelstra network as that modem is closesr to the car park. I want the Optus network and have to change it once inside )pr turn off auto-connect on Telstra). So, subject to your phone not being moved your network connections change depending where you are. My phone flashes for email, messages, some apps still to be identified.
If your phone teceives extetnal notifications and passes them to your watch that would also explain flashes.
