Asurion not refunding trade-in security charge, after cancelling Samsung order

I cancelled my S24 Ultra pre-order with Samsung on 31/01/2024, and received a refund from Samsung the same day.

However, the $470 security charge for the trade-in, made to my account by Asurion, has still not been credited back. I have contacted Asurion via their Samsung-tradeup_inquiries@asurion.com email on 31/01/2024, and via their trade-in portal at https://samsungtradeup.asurion.com.au/ and it says they will get back to me in 2 business days, which they have not done.

I have also emailed Samsung at members.au@samsung.com on 06/02/2024 to see if they can chase up. Just waiting for a reply.

Anyone else having the same issue, after a cancellation of a Samsung online purchase with trade-in?

Same here Order AU240118-77900563., 18/01/2023 cancelled 19/01/2023.  STILL WAITING.

Hi. I'm having a similar issue. Call samsung and report issue and ask them to escalate. Also if asurion have withdrawn money from your account. Call your bank and report fraud as they are not operating legally. Look at online reviews/reports

Same issue here, cancelled order, Samsung Refunded, Asurion yet to refund my security deposit on a cancelled trade-in, now Asurion have charged me $60 for a late return despite responding to their emails for cancellation confirmation half a dozen time. Insult to injury, when they billed me late return fee, the contact us link to discuss goes to a page where there is no ability to email / contact. Guys you buy traded phones, how about you list a telephone number !!!!!! 3 hours plus on phone to Samsung, numerous emails and it still isn't fixed. Pathetic service Samsung and Asurion. Never again !!! Go APPLE
