It is a software update. One of the most meaningless, non issue things to worry about. They have stated it will roll out FROM April 7, and when the clock hit 12 and it still hadn't hit phones, there was riot. For what? Do we not have anything more important to do in our lives? I can't comprehend the dramatic complaints about this. "I'm switching back to iPhone" "Samsung are scamming us" and yet I guarantee if they released One UI 7 in a beta state, full of bugs, these same people would be complaining, "they should have waited until it was more polished to release this!!!!"

Yes, patience and waiting is annoying, but the amount of seething online over a phone software is incredibly dramatic and a bit embarrassing. It's software. It will come to your phone soon. You don't need to "jump ship" and completely transfer to a new device ecosystem because it isn't here yet. You people are mad thinking it's been "delayed" when really, they've stuck to the rollout exactly how they said they would. Maybe try putting that energy into something meaningful in the meantime.

I’d take that as a compliment—though ironically, if I were outsourcing this to an AI, I’d expect it to be a bit more flattering about my own brilliance. Turns out, some of us just have a knack for words all on our own 😉

That's not the issue, problem is one ui 7 was rolled out with the s25 series at the beginning of the year.. the beta program closed months ago for the s24 series which by the way folks who went out and bought the 24 series / last years flagships and the ultra costing upwards of 2 thousand dollars are still waiting yet they've already released 2 budget phones with one ui 7 this year. Remember they only offered extended software support to 7 years last year.. they've purposefully withheld the general release of the new software for months to help boost s25 sales..and they've done this because bar the ultra the 25 and plus versions are quite literally exactly the same as last years models.. they've kept people in the dark for months and again they could have started pushing out this update months ago but here we are..

The beta program didnt actually end (obviously since they went to beta 6 I think).

The program was halted until after the UnPacked event and release of the S25 series due to the new features they didnt want people to see before Unpacked.

Well. Let's just say some updates are simply not worth it. I think that's maybe what you are missing out on. The benefits are very minimal over past UI. Some things are more difficult and confusing. Some don't work real well at all. A lot of it is ugly. It's like samsung AI. You should be given a choice of whether you want it or not on your phone. Compared to other AI it is way below expectations. There. I said it.

Considering this update is about 4 months late compared to the usual time updates are released, people have a right to be miffed.

4 months late based on what?
I guess no body watch the One UI 7 discussion at SDC24, where Samsung went over some things that would be coming, the ground up re-write of One UI (Vulkan support amongst others) and that the first devices to get it would be the next model release, which obviously was the S25 series.

I understand the frustration, but I don't want a buggy mess of an update and happy to wait a little longer.
In saying that, I wouldn't mind the OS support life extended to make up for lost time.

True. Samsung should disregard Android 15 in counting the OS upgrades it is promising to offer 😀

The problem is that Samsung started updating the same Galaxy S24 series sequentially from the lucrative market. Someone has to wait more time for updates on the same phone. 😮

Well said!!! Look, not looking to stir the pot but I totally agree. It is coming and it takes time. Its actually a strategic plan to release slowly, different phone, different countries at a time to make sure there is no error involved. If there is, there is less people to fix than the whole world. I know the waiting game isn't fun but its not like it isn't coming. This was the same process for each big update but for some reason One IU7 got much more publicity than previous updates and hence seems to be causing a bigger notice to people for any delay. Lets all be considerate here please as everyone has a right to view and at the end of the day, we are all here for the love for technology and samsung products 🙏
