I've been using Chrome on my S23. I've never used Samsung internet but I've just installed it, thought I'd give it a try. I've still got Chrome as my default browser and I'm just wondering how Samsung's internet compares to Chrome. Has anyone had any negative experiences with Samsung internet?

Hi Andrew, I've been using Samsung Internet on my S23U since beginning of last year. I haven't really had any negative experiences and it basically functions well as a web browser.

I started using Samsung Internet because of gaining access to some of the Samsung AI functionality like "Summarise" which basically gives you a precis of the content on a webpage, which is handy.

Personally I went the other way with the ai craze. I use brave as default and Firefox as backup. Haven't had any issues as the android system webview is chromium based regardless.

I had Brave for a while but it used to freeze occasionally. I got sick of uninstalling and re installing it.

Twice last week. That was about the 6th time in the last month.

You must be a power user. Personally I have yet to crash it. So my advice might not be appropriate.

Actually I'm not. I'm not a gamer, don't watch movies only just a basic user, scrolling sites etc, no more than a couple of hours at the most a day. Chrome's never frozen on me, I'll see how Samsung goes.
